The DAR LA Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating communities, raising awareness, and honoring the lives lost to domestic violence—including teen dating abuse. Our mission is to empower young people, support survivors, and prevent future violence through education, advocacy, and community-driven programs. We provide safe spaces, host workshops, and build awareness to help teens recognize unhealthy relationships and break the cycle of abuse before it begins.

What is Teen Dating Violence?
Teen Dating Violence (Teen DV) happens when someone you're dating tries to control, hurt, or scare you. It can happen in person, online, or through texting—and it’s never okay.

Office Services
Our office provides a safe and supportive space for youth to learn, grow, and heal. We offer workshops and activities focused on dating awareness, abuse prevention, and building self-esteem. Each session includes hands-on activities that promote engagement and real-life learning.
Through these programs, we aim to break the cycle of abuse by equipping young people with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to build healthy relationships and recognize harmful behaviors early on.
Participants will also hear from guest speakers, including survivors and professionals, who offer guidance to inspire change and personal growth.
